Testimonials

As an avid distance trail runner, I had been bouncing between practitioners for several years trying to find someone who understood my sport and the various aches, pains, and  stresses that come with it. Kyle takes the time to listen to me and targets the specific problem using his masterful knowledge of anatomy and his healing touch. The combination of his therapeutic massage along with recommendations for follow-up exercisses and stretches improves my training and keeps me on the trails!

I have been an athlete for over 8 years and Kyle Rogers is one of the most amazing massage therapist and people I have met. I worked with Kyle for 4 years while at the University of Kansas while running track. He treated each athlete individually and would tend to the needs of each person. He gives everyone the attention they deserve and gives 110% in everything he does. He is respectful and takes the time to get to know you as a person and help you the best he can toward your goals. Kyle helped keep me healthy and feeling good through all competition. If I could move Kyle around while I train I would in a heart beat, his work is that good.

"Working as an athletic trainer with a sport that has a large focus on soft-tissue work Kyle has been my go to resource. Any soft tissue questions or ideas I had I always ran by Kyle because of his expertise and ability to get results working with both his clients and Division 1 athletes. As a colleague during our time working with Kansas Track and Field he was an invaluable asset and we were able to provide an extremely high level of care and performance for the athletes both in a preventative manner and during their championships. Kyle has increased my knowledge of massage and passed along many great techniques to inspire my own pursuit in massage therapy. He is a fantastic holistic practitioner as well as teacher."

"Kyle Rogers is a phenomenal massage therapist. He expresses his detailed knowledge of the body through an experienced and deliberate touch that removes unwanted muscular tension from the body, giving you a feeling of freedom and clarity.

This combination creates an amazing experience for those seeking anything from pain relief to optimal athletic performance. I consider Kyle a true artisan of his craft."

Kyle understands how the human body functions as an interconnected whole.  I originally sought treatment for neck pain.  Before I mentioned to Kyle that I have had lower back and hip problems for 20 plus years, he had already connected my neck pain with lower back and hip discomfort and recommended treatment accordingly.  Upon his advice, I stopped wearing a leg lift in my shoe, which had been prescribed by doctors to address lower back pain due to a leg length difference.  Kyle identified that there was no actual bone length difference and that the lift was contributing to neck and back discomfort rather than eliminating pain.  With continued massage therapy and removal of the leg lift, my neck, lower back, and hip pain have diminished significantly.  Kyle has also helped me with swimming-related tendonitis in my shoulders, that has plagued me for years, by identifying the source of the problem and recommending exercises.

Kyle listens attentively to my words about what’s happening in my body.  He explains in understandable terms what my body is doing, his treatment interventions, and how my body is responding to treatment.  He has recommended helpful activities for strengthening, stretching, and pain relief, giving me tools for managing my own health.  Kyle is professional, respectful, and safe in his touch while being caring and kind in his demeanor.   I highly recommend Kyle as a massage therapist and only wish I had sought his services sooner.

I initially met Kyle through my college athletics career and have continued going to him for my massage needs ever since. During the 2013 outdoor season I ran into bad lower back pain and was fortunate evough to have Kyle for pre-competition work. He was able to loosen my back enough to allow me to continue competing at a level I wanted to, essentially saving my season. Now as an elite discus thrower I continue to put my body through a rigorous training regimen and often have pain and tightness in my muscles. The massage therapy I receive from Kyle has become a key recovery and rehab aspect to my training routine. Not only is he able to diagnose the problem, but he has also educated me along the way and helped me understand what is causing the problem and how to prevent it from interfering with my success. Without Kyle and what he has done for me I would not be able to continue pursuing my dream of being an Olympian.

Since I began competitive sports when I was in the 7th grade, I have had shoulder and back problems. After a night of stretching and some medicine, I usually felt better. The problems got progressively worse (especially my back) as I continued through high school and started competing for the University of Kansas track and field team. Since I was a javelin thrower, I spent a lot of my time lifting and doind medicine ball work outs. This put a lot of stress on my back. My freshman year I tried everything from icing after practice to STIM treatments to core rehab to wearing a back brace both when I practiced and competed. Although these usually treated the symptoms, we still did not know the cause.

I began seeing Kyle for massage therapy at the beginning of my sophomore year of college. It only took him one session to realize that my back problems were in fact referred pain from my gluteus and leg muscles. Seeing him weekly pretty much eliminated them and as my training intensified, I continued to improve. I was able to stop using my back brace when I threw and I adjusted my warm up to include more lower body stretching.

Kyle went above and beyond what was required of him as a member of the staff. He was willing to meet with me outside the scheduled time so that the massages could be more productive. He also helped me by suggesting stretches and rehab exercises so that I could minimize the stress I put on my problem areas. I would absolutely recommend his services to anyone who may have a need or want for massage therapy. If I lived closer to Lawrence I would certainly continue to see him regularly!
